Garden Layers triumphs at Interior Design’s BoY Awards Ceremony

Garden Layers is fast becoming one of the most successful collections ever for GAN. The latest recognition is the BoY Award within the Furniture: Outdoor Lounge category. Designed by prodigious talent Patricia Urquiola for GAN, the Best of Year award for Garden Layers can now be added to the NYCxDesing, Fuera de Serie and the Archiproducts Design 2017 awards, received this year. The BoY are however, one of the industry’s most coveted acknowledgements. Now in their 12th edition, the awards are sponsored by Interior Design Magazine, one of the most important publications of its type in North America. The ceremony was held on Friday, December 1st in New York. The winners were announced live by Cindy Allen (Editor in Chief) and Carol Cisco (Publisher of Interior Design Magazine).

Garden Layers is a revolutionary collection for GAN, its first venture into the outdoors and based on its success to date it will certainly not be the last. The BoY awards recognise the best of the best new products and projects of the year. A showcase for innovative design, risk taking manufacturers and talented creatives.

Inspired by Mughal architecture and culture, Urquiola’s collection includes rugs, mattresses, roll pillows and cushions. All the elements are available in a sober range of textiles and patterns so that they can be combined in numerous different ways. A high-tech filling, combined with highly resistant fabrics, makes this collection the ideal choice for converting outdoor spaces into comfortable extensions of the indoors. The collection was specifically designed for use on any surface whether it be concrete, decking or directly on sand.
