This fall GAN participated in ORGATEC 2018, the most important international office furniture and equipment trade show, celebrated on October 23-27 in Cologne, Germany. For this edition, the motto of the fair was “culture @ work”, which explored the connection between culture and work environment.
At this stage for the present and future of contract business, GAN was present in two ways: in its own space (Hall 10.1, D039) where the LANcollection was exhibited; as well as at Haworth’s stand (Hall 9.1, A068-B069), which showcased Patricia Urquiola’s exclusive designs manufactured by GAN for Haworth Collection. GAN thus strengthened its position as a favorite brand to transform workspaces, bringing warmth and a welcoming character to offices around the world.
Designed by Neri&Hu, the popular studio based in Shanghai and London, LAN was successfully presented at this year’s Salone del Mobile and has already won the prestigious NYCxDesign award in the Contract: Seating category. LANreinvents and questions the sofa typology, breaking it down into modules and dividers that can be configured in infinite ways, arranged on the matching rug, made of pure new wool. It is a dual collection that combines the Western and the Oriental, modern design and traditional craftsmanship. It is ideal for the working environment of the future that ORGATEC aims to achieve: a flexible space that adapts to rapidly changing needs.
GAN was also present at ORGATEC along with Haworth, one of the largest office furniture manufacturers in the world. Patricia Urquiola’s exclusive designs for Haworth Collection, such as Bandas, Mangas Original, Diagonal or Hand Knotted Degradé were on display. The popular designer has created these with a modern, warm and elegant office in mind, like the one this last edition of ORGATEC projects.
