GAN in Orgatec 2016

This year’s edition of ORGATEC, which is held annually in Cologne and features the latest developments in work environments, included the most emblematic collections from GAN, accommodated within the RED stand. Between October 25th and 29th, visitors had the opportunity to see and feel GAN designer rugs, seating and accessories, in a carefully curated space that invited busy participants to sit down and take five.

RED (Reunión Empresas de Diseño) is an umbrella platform that represents Spanish design. GAN, a Valencia-based brand, presented new and elegant oak tables added to the SILAÏ collection, and CANEVAS pieces as well, all created by designer Charlotte Lancelot and inspired by traditional embroidery techniques applied to rugs, poufs and accessories. The space also featured some of GAN’s classics but still innovative interior design products, like the versatile ARAM, designed by Oki Sato of Nendo Studio. Both a stool and a side table, its colourful wire weave compliments any room. And SAIL, designed by Hector Serrano, the traditional wool dhurrie technique made into a collection of seats, cushions and rugs with geometric motifs and frayed seams.

Work and comfort are not mutually exclusive concepts, a statement demonstrated beautifully by the wonderful range of GAN rugs and accessories.
