For over 30 years now, the ICFF trade show has been bringing together the biggest names of the design world and highlighting the most interesting and innovative products from around the planet, in an event that includes designs from 64 countries and attracts about 38,000 annual visitors.
This year, GAN is participating at ICFF 2019 –from May 19 to 22 at the Javits Center in New York– with Nuances, the latest collection by designer Patricia Urquiola. Nuances is composed of three rugs and a pouf made of felt and manufactured from discarded wool. Researching different colors and densities, Patricia Urquiola has found a material that has the warmth of the felt we know, but that is also especially soft and resistant: a felt like we’ve never seen before. Nuances uses this innovative material to combine different-colored stripes sewn by hand, vindicating the coexistence between craftsmanship, innovation and sustainability that both the designer and GAN believe in. This is a collection that has as many nuances as a work of art.
At ICFF, GAN will be showing the Curve and Line models, two different patterns in Burgundy tones, which combine the main stone gray with delicate rose and deep red. The pouf that complements the collection, which allows for different volumetric compositions, will also be on display.
Nuances will be exhibited at ICFF in partnership with SoHo Design District (booth #2765), in a shared space with other popular brands such as Ligne Roset, Studio Anise, Interior Define, Ingo Maurer, Vibia, Original BTC and Atelier Alain Ellouz.
Additionally, the iconic Bandas and Garden Layers collections (both by Patricia Urquiola) can be seen at the GAN showroom in New York, located in SoHo.
