In the video Kensaku explains how his collaboration with the Valencia based brand came about and how in creating GRAPY he explored new materials and fillings. Inspired by the sacks made from jute on which workers grab a chance to sit and relax he came up with an innovative easychair by connecting three volumes, smooth and flexible, filled with a mix of polystyrene and shredded foam rubber. The result is an elastic element that adjusts to the body’s natural and comfortable posture.

Oshiro who heads his own design office in Milan, Italy won the 2012 exterior furniture design competition organised by GANDIABLASCO with “A piece of lawn”. The GRAPY easychair is available in two types of cotton fabric, canvas and velvet, and five colour choices with reinforced contrasting seams.
