Congratulations to MIX&MATCH by Flavia del Pra on its big success at the Best of Year Awards! MIX&MATCH was the overall winner in the Accessories category. The prize was announced last night at a dazzling ceremony in New York, organized by Interior Design Magazine. The BoY Awards are one of the most prestigious honours within the interior design world, recognising the work of designers, architects and manufacturers around the globe.
Flavia del Pra reinterprets the traditional serving tray with MIX&MATCH, a collection of nine different models of decorative ceramics held within a copper plated aluminium frame that can also be used as platters, side tables or serving trays, and can mixed and matched according to your taste.
This year GAN was also finalist for two more products; WAAN under the Flooring: Carpets/Rugs category and GRAPY Seating: Residential/Sofa under the Accessories category.
WAAN is a collection of rugs and cushions designed by Dienke Dekker that features two different colour yarns spun together with a surprising visual effect, its geometric motif suggesting a blurred or mirage-like graphic quality.
GRAPY, by Kensaku Oshiro, is an easychair inspired by the volume of jute sacks. It is made of three separate stuffed cushions (or grapes), stitched together to provide ergonomic and contemporary-style seating.
