GOZ, nominated for the Dezeen Awards 2022 in the Design – Homeware category – you still have time to vote here – is a collection of rugs with which the master Kengo Kuma joins GAN to show his vision of craftsmanship while remaining attentive to the materials.

Made from 100% recycled PET, Álvaro Catalán de Ocón‘s protest designs for GAN, PLASTIC RIVERS – NYCxDESIGN 2022 Award – invited visitors to reflect on the plastic pollution that contaminates the rivers that give name to each of the rugs in the collection.

On the other hand, different models of the collections GARDEN LAYERS, by Patricia Urquiola, and DIAMOND, by Charlotte Lancelot, dressed some of the environments of GANDIABLASCO, outdoor furniture firm of Gandia Blasco Group.
And as it happened at the Salone del Mobile in Milan last June, at Habitat Valencia we also had a corner dedicated exclusively to the new possibilities of customization that we offer through the updated program GAN Custom: Bespoke Solutions, Custom Catalogue and Contract Studio.
GAN has been present, in yet another edition, in Habitat Valencia, a reference point in Spain in the interior design sector. This year, moreover, has been special because its celebration has taken greater dimensions and scope to be a part of the official program of World Design Capital Valencia 2022.
The stand designed exclusively for Gandia Blasco Group by Kengo Kuma, a modular space that adapted to Feria Valencia the concept that the Japanese architect devised for the company at the Salone del Mobile in Milan 2022, invited us to create a tour saturated with warmth, natural materials and the value of handmade products.
Thus, with exceptional staging that fused Japanese and Mediterranean traditions, from September 20th to 23rd we presented for the first time in Spain our latest launches, as always, designed together with great creative talents and handcrafted in India. Under the guidance of GAN’s creative director, Mapi Millet, visitors to Habitat Valencia were able to discover four of the collections included in the new Catalogue 2022 – Annex.

A look towards the future through new sustainable
and handmade rug designs

REVERSIBLE, by Charlotte Lancelot, is made up of a series of rugs and poufs that surprised at Habitat Valencia by having neither a front face nor back face thanks to their double composition in wool and linen and a handloom technique developed specifically for their simultaneous manufacture.

In fourth place, THE CROCHET COLLECTION, designed by Clara von Zweigbergk, stood out for its interesting combination of graphic design, illustration and the art of weaving. With their resized patterns and original color combinations, these designs demonstrate once again the potential of crochet.

We would like to thank all those who came to our space in Valencia to learn about GAN’s designs and its unique combination of craftsmanship, innovation, and social and environmental responsibility.
