GAN and Patricia Urquiola commit to sustainable design and a circular economy
With its launch just three years ago, the popular GARDEN LAYERS collection marked a turning point for GAN, as it became the brand’s first outdoor adventure. Today, this collection designed by Patricia Urquiola innovates once again by updating its materials: Garden Layers is now made with recycled PET.

PET recycling transforms plastic waste into a raw material of great durability and resistance, while preventing it from contaminating our oceans. Thanks to PET’s high quality, GARDEN LAYERS pieces are also easy to maintain and are ideal for outdoor use.
GAN and Urquiola share a commitment to make crafts evolve and to enhance the value of the manufacturing processes and materials that give life to their designs. “We assume our responsibility with the planet, and we are committed to sustainable practices, to contributing to the responsible use of resources and to promoting a circular economy,” says Mapi Millet, Creative Director of GAN.

With a marked oriental influence, the collection invites you to lie down among soft and warm elements inspired by the delicacy and harmony of Mughal architecture. These pieces, now made with recycled PET, will be available in the same finishes as before, including the most welcoming terracottas, greys, blues and greens.
This is not the first time that GAN introduces a sustainable collection. DIAMOND, designed by Charlotte Lancelot, is also made with recycled PET. And most of our designs include recyclable, natural energy-efficient materials.
