Recognition of the crafts and the traditions that unite us. One of Inma Bermúdez‘s designs for GAN‘s ROOTS collection, the Double Stool 01, has been distinguished with the Archiproducts Design Award in the Furniture category, with a special mention in Sustainability.
A jury made up of industry experts has highlighted the charm, versatility, and sustainable process behind this piece with an acacia wood structure and jute braided surface.
With the ROOTS double stool, Inma Bermúdez evokes traditional peasant pieces and reinterprets them thanks to a contemporary design and proportions, plus impeccable tailoring done entirely by hand. The black line that runs through the frame of the seat refers us to the grid of the ROOTS kilim rugs collection, available in four different versions and in various sizes.
This award is a recognition of GAN’s vocation for making crafts evolve hand in hand with collaborations with great design talents. It proves this is how crafts will stay alive and it allows us to approach everyday objects in a more conscious and sustainable way.
Congratulations to all the winners, especially Inma and the artisans who accompany us on this journey.
