GAN publishes the 2022 Catalogue – Annex with the privilege of having the names of six renowned international creators from the worlds of architecture, design and art on its cover. A list headed by Kengo Kuma that anticipates what can be found in its pages: a solid commitment to sustainable production and a celebration of the artisan tradition, in continuous reinvention hand in hand with the best contemporary design.
We invite you to explore new paths at the intersection of craft and design, to feel and listen to the spirit of its materials and to uncover the stories behind GAN‘s new collections of rugs and spaces, designed by leading international figures in the industry and made with sustainable materials by craftsmen and women of India.
GOZ is a collection of rugs with which the Japanese architecture master Kengo Kuma joins GAN to reveal his vision of craftsmanship, always listening to the materials. The REVERSIBLE rugs and poufs by Charlotte Lancelot have no back or front and can change their look and texture with a simple twist. The award-winning protest designs by Álvaro Catalán de Ocón, PLASTIC RIVERS, make us reflect on the plastic pollution that invades our rivers and are made, precisely, with 100% recycled PET. With THE CROCHET COLLECTION, graphic design, illustration and the art of knitting are masterfully combined, revealing the creative instinct of Clara von Zweigbergk. The new HAPPY kilim, by Sandra Figuerola, is full of graphic and colorful character. Finally, ECHO Grey, designed by Samuel Wilkinson, joins the existing Green and Red versions to visually play with sound and create depth.
